Arson fears in historic Saltaire pub blaze

Building Fire (numerous calls received) MP x 10 Aerials x 2 incident - Derelict building under demolition involved approx 70m x 40m, Fire involving 7th floor and roof. Cylinders on site removed to safety. Crews used 4 Large jets, 3 Ground Monitors, 2 Aerial Ladder Platform monitors, 10 Breathing apparatus and Positive Pressure Ventilation.

Building Fire MP x 8 ALP x 1 -  Old Bank Mills, 2 storey empty building in an industrial complex, building involved approx 40m x 20m. Building well alight on arrival with exposure risk to 1 side this being a 3 storey property. Crews used 1 Ground monitor, 6 Large jets and Aerial Ladder Monitor at the incident. Building suffered partial collapse during the incident and representative from dangerous structures attended to assess building.

Building Fire MP x 8 ALP x 1 - Single storey Multi occupancy building used as furniture shop, a kit-car manufacturer and a fibre glass company approx 60m x 30m involved in fire, 90% of building alight, crews used 5 Large jets, 3 Ground monitors, 1 jet from Aerial Ladder Platform and 2 Breathing apparatus for comfort. Fire crews remain damping down in defensive mode using 4 Ground monitors on due to 2 banks of Acetylene cylinders on site.

Building Fire MP x 3 ALP x 1 - Fire in 2 storey derelict building approx 30m x 10m, 50% of 1st and 2nd floors involved. 2 Large jets, 1 Hosereel jet, 2 Breathing apparatus and ALP used

07/01/08 19:33 Crescent Garage,Devonshire Crescent, Leeds8

2 storey Garage fire - building used as a commercial garage. 20x20 metres, fire was well alight on arrival of fire crews.  Due to acetylene cylinders being at risk in the fire, a 200 metre exclusion zone was created around the premises.  This caused local residents to be evacuated to safety. Fire Officers (25 in total ) attended from Moortown, Gipton and Stanks. 4 firefighting appliances and an aerial platform attended the incident.  3 Ground monitor jets and the aerial platform was used to put out the fire and cool the cylinders.  There were no reports of any injuries. Appliances from Moortown (2601 2602), Gipton (2402) and Stanks (2801) attended.

Mill Fire - 3rd Alarm Incident, Aerial's x 2 -  2 Storey mill building approx 50m x 10m, well alight with exposure risks to 3 sides of the building. 4 Large jets 1 Aerial Ladder platform monitor, 4 Breathing apparatus used. On arrival at the incident, it was reported that persons were trapped or missing.Stop message received at 00:37Hrs. No persons involved. Appliances from Bradford (4001 4002 4006ALP), Odsal (4701 4702), Fairweather Green (4201 4202), Shipley (5101), Idle (4401), Batley (8101 8128CU), Stanningley (3102 3112 HL), Hunslet (2512 ISU31), Huddersfield (6002), Dewsbury (8302) and Mirfield (8701 8712MSU)attended.                                  



20/12/07 22:49Access Rentals, Morley Carr Business Centre, Carr Lane, Low Moor, Bradford

2nd Alarm Incident Building fire - Single storey building approx 50m x  50m used as storage for hire equipment, building 80 % involved in fire, crews used 1 Large jet, 4 Ground Monitors and 1 jet from aerial appliance, 1 Hosereel jet and 4 Breathing apparatus, acetylene cylinders were involved in fire which led to approx 10 residents being evacuated with the assistance of the Police and Bradford Council Emergency Planning. Crews are expected to be engaged damping down for 24 Hours

                             

                                    

This Incident was on Dewsbury Road Leeds in 1986 not 1984 as advertised. It was a Make Pumps 5 incident which at that time also secured the attendance of the Control unit, B/A Tender, Simonitor and support crews. In total 4 Large jets 2 Jets from 2 Turntable Ladders and Jet from Simonitor. Appliances from Hunslet, Leeds, Morley and Shipley attended.

         
                            
                                    

This Incident was at Wellington mills in Heckmondwike West Yorkshire in 2001. This was a carpet warehouse 30m x 30m 100% involved in fire.
Efforts made to contain fire to building of origin. Large jets Ground monitors and Turntable Ladder monitor used. Applainces from Batley, Mirfield, Dewsbury, Cleckheaton, Odsal and Morley attended.
