About Me
I left the army at 27 years old in 1973 and joined the Halifax Fire Brigade and was posted to Illinworth Station, where I served until 1999 when I was released on ill health because of emphesema. I am now virtually housebound and a wheelchair user but am still very interested in day to day fire service news and developments in equipment and vehicles. Yes I agree Bob, I am hoping to do some publications one day, I am currently looking at my old photos/documents etc and I may create a web site but it would be just about the history of West Riding/West Yorkshire Brigade with what I have grown up with!!.
Mark.
I have always been suprised that a Brigade the size of West Yorks has not had any sort of site to meet others who are interested in Fire matters. Well Done Graham and thanks.
