I suppose you could say I am fire engine mad I am now on my 3rd Ex West Yorkshire engine I used to have H 182 UCX followed by L 730 EJX and I have recently aquired S 803 EUB H 182 UCX was sold to fire engines 4 sale and I believe is now in Argentina L 730 EJX was sold to a friend of mine at West Yorkshire Classics and is used for childrens parties, fetes,carnivals and to spread the fire safety message etc S 803 EUB is my new appliance and is, like all my old appliances used in the television and film industry Hates - Fire engines used as LIMO's - its wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice slide show from the emergency show at Coventry Guess you were the cat that got the cream as you got a go up in the new CARP (though you were going to cause a stampede to be first in - WELL DONE YOU Nice to see your still one step ahead of West Yorkshire when it come to keeping everyone upto date with whats going on Great day out and can't wait for next year Just awaiting pictures and update from the new USAR base at HQ now!!! Its nice to know that it would appear to be a genuine accident and tragically one of those things that just happen from time to time
I hope common sense prevails and no further action is taken against any parties involved The firefighters have a difficult enogh job without the stress of incidents like this and the families of thos einvolved have proberbly suffered enough already Thankfuly, they are very few and far between Thanks for the update Andy
It would appear that a Police car was in front of the appliance on Blues and siren, Fire appliance short distance behind.. The involved parties had thought that the police vehicle once passed the danger was over...Not thought and stepped out in front of fire appliance..
We can't say they (WY Drivers) need more training without looking at the 'Evidence' first?, But looking at the number of idiot drivers on the road I wouldn't be surprised if the accidents were caused by car drivers!!
