Further to your e mail blast, it would appear that  to say West Yorkshire are very short sighted is an under statement

They are very good at making all the right noises but unfortunatley very poor at turning them into reality

They like all the politically correct items like diversity and multi cultural and tell everyone how good  they are at been assessed and rated yet have no idea when it comes to engaging with the community and the tax payers of West Yorkshire

A prime example is Safety Central at Bramley. Who know what this multi million pound venture is all about. Whats is purpose etc?

There are so many opportunities to forge links with the community but they appear to have there own agenda and tough to everyone else

Its about time they realises that they are a public service and are accoutable to the people of West Yorkshire

I wonder if any senior managers or any one from the media dept ever attend any of the community events and see first hand that generally most members of the public are very supportive of the excellent work they do and are interested in knowing more

If they put as much effort into their own web site, as they do being unhelpful and obstructive as possible it may be a different story

I have to wonder what they are actually trying to achieve as other fire services around the country clearly have a different view and are only too willing to allow people to take pictures, visit stations and inter act with them

Come on West Yorkshire - GET WITH THE PROGRAM !!!!!!!!!
