KWY 735K Ex WY Command Unit

Posted on August 24, 2009 at 10:18 PM

Excellent news about KWY 735K, She is been 'Lovingly' restored by professional day to day mechanics Mark Griffiths & Stewart Kaye at a garage in Huddersfield.

They found the old CU about 2 years ago buried under trees in shipley being used as a 'Mobile Home'

After a bit of negotiating, She was taken back to Huddersfield to be given some TLC!!

This CU was said to hold a world record of - 9 white helmets inside at 1 BIG job!!

Mark & Stewart also own 2 Ex WR & WY Dennis F46's one which is in the earlier WR white scheme.

There are rumours that other Ex WR & WY appliances will also be lovingly restored.

One of the F46's starting with BWH? was found in a Norfolk scrapyard - Rotting to the core!!

She was rescued and was recovered back to where she belongs - WY!!

There are photos on various sites of these 'Lovely' appliances.

Cheers.

Mark.
