Hi i am new to all this

Jack Parker was my Grandad, the anniversary of his death has just gone when he passed away when i was 1 so im posting this to see if there is any pics or stories that people know of as i would like to find out alittle bit more about career

Can you tell us where and when he served, please.
I knew a Jack Parker (at Pudsey I think!) in 1980.

yeah he served at pudsey in the 1980s big fella he was, he was at New pudsey for about 20 years, he also served at old leeds central then went to pudsey. he was sub officer and the union rep for west yorkshire

Hi ben,
Not much I can tell you, I'm afraid. I took his place on Green Watch when i was promoted Sub Officer in 1980/81. After handing over, I saw little of him apart from watch changes. I think he went to Blue watch at Pudsey.I don't know the reason he swapped, but Green watch were a good watch. As you say, he was a big lad!

thanks for your help with that, i will have to do some more digging and see what i can find. Funny enough there was a small fire near my house last night called the service and they came made me think what if i carried on the family trade.
