Road Traffic Collision - Proved to be 2 cars involved with 3 casualties. Persons released by Fire service and transported to hospital by ambulance. A female occupant from one of the vehicles died shortly after arrival at hospital.

UPDATE : Grosvenor Chemical Works,
Lees Mill Lane, Linthwaite
The fire involved a raw products warehouse containing pesticides and glue-based products. The building was well alight on arrival of fire crews and with a severe fire including flammable liquid run off on floors, the fire also spread to chemical storage tanks . A total of 10 Ground monitors were used to tackle the fire and supporting appliances from Greater Manchester assisted. Approx 15% of the whole site has been involved and crews are at present damping down what is a deep seated fire on the site.

Building Fire MP x 25 Incident - Proved to be a chemical plant involved, fire in a storage section and involved pesticides and glue-based products.Fire contained to buildings of origin by crews using foam and 6 Ground monitors. Due to severity of fire and structure type partial collapse of building took place. Deep seated fire remains and crews dampen down fire scene.
Appliances from all areas of the brigade attended the incident with foam support from neighbouring county.

Ammonia Alarm MP x 4 Incident - Proved to be small leak of ammonia which increased to 500 parts per million, this was confined to the basement area of a single storey building approx 100m x 50m. Crews were deployed in 2 Gas tight suits to deal with the incident after specialist Fire officers consulted with on-site technicians.

Cliff Rescue - Proved to be 11 year old Child fallen over cliff on bicycle approx 30 feet down. Fire Service personnel used lines and ropes along with a longboard to rescue the child. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.

All persons were accounted for and no injuries.

Car Fire - Proved to be car fire in underground car park of the mill, crews used 2 Hosereel jets and 6 Breathing apparatus. Incident also attended by the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit, the bomb squad carried out the controlled explosion.Police and the fire service are investigating the cause of the initial blaze and how a suspected explosive liquid came to be in the underground car park.

House Fire Persons Reported - Proved to be 5 persons rescued by neighbours prior to the arrival of the Fire service. Four people where rescued through the ground floor windows and 1 person was rescued from the first floor window, they where rescued by the neighbour driving his car up to the house and assisting the occupant to safely egress from the upstairs window. Crews used  1 Hosereel jet, 6 Breathing apparatus and Positive pressure ventilation fan.

House Fire - Proved to be chip pan involved but was out on arrival of Fire service, 1 female casualty suffering with smoke inhalation, given oxygen therapy by Fire service personnel, attended to by paramedics, did not attend hospital.
