Newton Walk, Chapeltown, Leeds

Flats fire - Persons reported.  Fire in electrical cupboard in ground floor lobby, 2 hosereel jets, 6 Breathing apparatus and Positive pressure ventilation fan used.  4 people rescued from first floor window by fire service using short extension ladder.  A further 7 people were led to safety by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus.  All were treated for mild smoke inhalation by both fire service and paramedics - none attended hospital

Timber Yard Fire - South Yorkshire Incident MP x 9 with ALP. Applainces from South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire attended this incident.

Further Information to follow. Appliances from West Yorkshire were South Elmsall (9201), Hemsworth (8501) and Mirfield (8712 HL). Ponterfract (9001) went to standby at South Elmsall.

Castleford (8201) and Wakefield (8002) Went on as relief crews.

Leeds Bradford Airport, Whitehouse Lane, Yeadon
Aicraft in Distress - Airbus A-319 landed heavily bursting four tyres. Fire Crews stood by while passengers disembarked from the aircraft. Fire service checked plane with thermal image camera to check for heat sources, No injuries all alighted safely

Building Fire - 1st alarm - MP x 4, 2 storey workshop approx 15m x 10m 100% involved in fire. 2 Large jets, 1 Ground Monitor used to cool acetylene cylinder and 1 Aerial appliance used at incident. Police evacuated five nearby houses to ensure the safety of the occupiers.
