approx. 20m x 20m. Fire on 2nd floor and crews used 1 Hosereel jet, 2 Breathing
apparatus and 1 Aerial ladder platform.

Propane gas released into the cellars of the building.
Fire service Hazardous Materials Environmental Protection Officer and officers
with Detection, Monitoring and Identification equipment, attended and after
investigation it it thought that butane gas involved
not propane. Police were requested to attend and a 100 metre section of the
road was sealed off for safety purposes, whilst fire service personnel vented
the cellars.

Animal rescue - This was a Bullock that had fallen into a collapsed drainage
ditch and became stuck in mud, crews had to dig under the animal to enable
lengths of hose to be passed underneath. Animal then pulled out of the mud with
the assistance of a tractor.

also attended.

Incident - Approx 1200m x 400m of moorland involved.Twenty pumping appliances plus associated back-up
appliances attended. Crews used 1 Large jet, 2
Hosereel jets, 15 Beaters and Water backpacks at this incident. Three pumps
were used for water relay and the Police helicopter attended to assist with
aerial reconnaissance.

Report of Gas explosion - On arrival there was a fire and roof collapse within
the building. The building used as Pie manufacturers of
single and 2 storey, with collapse of roof in single storey section.
Crews used initially 1 Hosereel jet and 4 Breathing apparatus. Casualties involved:
5 were led to safety and 1 was placed in the care of paramedics with serious
injuries. West Yorkshire Urban Search and Rescue teams attended with
specialist equipment including cutting gear, cameras and heavy lifting
equipment to rescue 1 casualty that had been fatally injured in the incident
and make the building safe.
