Flooding incident at Aged persons home elderly residents evacuated to day room,
Fire service carrying out salvage operations and it is likely that some

Chip pan fire out on arrival of fire service. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus

female occupant both in mid 20's suffered from smoke inhalation and were transported to hospital by ambulance. 1 smoke
detector was fitted in the property but did not have a battery.

1 female who had fallen approx 15 feet down a banking and suffered a suspected
broken ankle. Fire service crews used line rescue equipment to assist ambulance
in getting casualty back up the banking. Casualty then taken to hospital by
ambulance.

House fire persons reported. Two storey property heavily smoke logged, six
breathing apparatus, two jets and positive
pressure ventilation in use. Four children and 1 adult rescued by fire service
personnel. This was a chip pan unattended in kitchen of property. Smoke
detectors were not fitted.

crews. One young male taken to hospital by ambulance
suffering from burns to his hands. The occupier had removed the chip pan
prior to the fire alarm actuating.

One female jumped from bridge into river. On arrival of crews the female was in
the river, but not in difficulty. Crews rescued her from the bankside,she was then handed

Chemical Spillage - shipping container carrying 45 gallon drums, undertermined number of drums leaked whilst mobile and at
incident ground. Ambulance requested for 1 male and 1 female casualty who
potentially inhaled toxic fumes, both taken to Pontefract General Infirmary for
precautionary check up. Spillage was contained and dealt with using sand and
chemical binder to soak it up.
