Chemical Incident - Leak of Sulphur Trioxide into atmosphere causing a gas
cloud. Leak stopped by on-site works staff. 3 police Officers taken to hospital
with breathing difficulties. Crews used gas-tight suits at incident. Gas cloud
dispersed with no other intervention by Fire Service.

Building Fire - 1st Alarm MP x 3 - Single storey building used for HGV maintenance approx 20m x 60m - 3 cylinders involved (1
acetylene, 1 argon and 1 oxygen) - 1 large ground monitor in use to cool
cylinders. Evacuation of 24 people from surrounding area sent to Ossett fire
station and then to Ossett high School. Red Cross support unit also mobilised
to assist.

1 female suffered smoke inhalation, treated by paramedics but did not attend
hospital.

Explosion Persons injured - Minor explosion caused by people entering premise
and taking over electrical control board. Incident proved to be 4 casualties involved, all received first aid from Fire Crews prior to
arrival of ambulance. 2 males with severe burns and other
injuries, 2 males suffering from shock. Ambulance crews removed
casualties to Bradford Royal Infirmary.

House fire Persons Reported - Proved to be fire out on arrival, positive
pressure ventilation used. 1 elderly female suffered slight smoke inhalation, received oxygen therapy but did not attend
hospital. 1 female suffered laceration to back of right hand and was
transferred to Halifax General hospital by ambulance. Property had working smoke
alarms fitted and had sounded.

involved in fire. Possibly acetylene cylinders in this single storey multi occupancy building. Original property bordered by 4
storey buildings on 2 sides. Fire spread to adjoining 4 storey building. Crews
used 4 Aerial Ladder Platforms , 4 Ground Monitors, 2
Large jets, 2 Hosereel jets and 4 breathing apparatus. Due to cylinders crews
dealt with the fire from outside using defensive tactics.
